Frequently asked questions

How is the stock value calculated?

At the rate held against each item, applied to the closing balance. This is a simple weighted-rate valuation suitable for management reporting. Statutory valuation under FIFO or weighted average cost should come from your accounting system.

What does the reorder level do?

When the closing balance falls to or below it, the item is flagged and appears in the reorder list with a suggested quantity based on your maximum level. Setting it to cover lead time plus a safety margin is what prevents stock-outs.

Can I correct a wrong entry?

Yes, delete the movement and record it again. The audit panel keeps a record of both the original entry and its removal, so the correction is traceable rather than silent.

What is the count sheet for?

Physical stock verification. It prints the item list with the system balance and a blank column for the counted quantity, so the person counting is not anchored by what the system expects. Enter the counts afterwards to see variances.

Is this data backed up?

Yes. It is saved in this browser and synced to your account on the CRMTECH server, so it is restored on any device you sign in from, with earlier versions kept. Export to CSV or JSON at the end of each period for your records.
